Skei (also known as Skei i Jølster) is the administrative centre of the municipality of Jølster in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The village is located at the northeastern end of the lake Jølstravatn along the highway E39. Skei is 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Byrkjelo in Gloppen, 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Vassenden/Langhaugane, and about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) west of the village of Ålhus.
The 0.56-square-kilometre (140-acre) village is located at an elevation of 208 metres (682 ft) above sea level, and it has a population (2009) of 407. Skei is located just west of Jostedalsbreen National Park.[1][2]
